Fall Dates
Fall leaf pickup season begins approximately October 15th and usually lasts
until mid-January. All neighborhoods receive 3 pickup rounds. Signs are posted
in the neighborhoods prior to each pickup round. Before and after leaf season,
leaves will be picked up with trash (space permitting) when placed in plastic
bags or other containers. There is a maximum of 20 bags per residence per collection
day.
Pickup Routes
Leaf crews begin collection in the southwest quadrant of Town (Old Towne) and
follow a clockwise route finishing in the Carriage Hills subdivision. Watch
for posted neighborhood signs that read "Leaf pickup in this area next".
There will be no deviations from the route.
Regulations
Loose leaves should be placed at the curb in a pile, separate from brush and
other wood waste. All set-out material must be away from utitlity poles, mailboxes,
or other structures, and must not block drainage ditches or curbside drainage.
FOR SAFETY REASONS, LEAVES MUST NOT HINDER TRAFFIC NOR BLOCK TRAVEL LANES. Homeowners
are responsible for the actions of contracted services.
Special Loose Leaf Pickup
A special loose leaf pickup after the last round of leaf season may be requested
at Town Hall. There is a $20 fee. The leaves will be picked up within the next
two weeks. Fees must be prepaid at Town Hall.
Spring Pickup
Loose leaves will also be picked up in the spring during the first week of March,
the first week of April and the first week of May. One complete round throughout
the Town will be made during each of these three months.
