The Signal Mountain Police Department currently has a staff of sixteen full-time employees consisting of the Police Captain, three lieutenants, ten patrol officers, a dispatcher and a clerk. In addition, the department also has a well-trained fifteen-officer reserve force.

Hours
The Police Department patrols all areas of the Town on a regular basis 24 hours a day. Response time to police calls is usually less than five minutes. Normally, three officers are on patrol at all times.
